So sad hear the loss of John Hampshire, one of Yorkshire finest cricketers.

R.I.P John and condolenses to family and friends.

That's really sad news. He was a lovely man. Coached me for several years in the 1980s. (As well as playing for England).

Rip JH,remember he made a ton on his England debut.

Many years ago I received some kind of award for work,nothing to do with sport,but he was handing the certificates to everybody,and it was a pleasure to shake his hand and take my certificate from him along with his congratulations,knowing of his stature in cricket.

Exactly but he didn't play for the ''right county'. Plus John was a Rotherham bloke (I think.)
