I didn't work for DC Cook ,but loads of people from there worked at Dixon Motors whilst I was there.Greg Beaumont ,Graeme Starke , Jaq Galpin to name a few .also know Malcolm Booth worked for Cooks

Did you know the guy (John with the Polish surname) that worked in D C Cook`s car spares shop at Wath on Dearne? I understand this was the shop where Derek originally started the business from.

I worked at Wath 89/90 with: Lee Gibson, Phil Green, Tommy Dabbs, Tony Thomas, Neil Pownall, Richard Midgley, Kevin Smith, Prad Nair. D.P. was Sal Cuillo.

worked for d c cooks tyreland barmouth road 81 to 82 city road 82 to 84.with spells at wakefield road barnsley rotherham and manchester.

yes he started his business from here, was the guy your reffering too have a surname of Hukin?

I think you maybe wrong here.

 

His first shop was on Wharncliffe st in Rotherham in the late 60's early 70's.

I may have been his first employee as I tidied up his yard as a nine year old lad.

 

The shop was just up from where the outside market was built.

may be, i had an ex once who's father started out with Derek cook, he ended up running the car spares shop for him in Wath, as he didnt want to take the risk of going into business with him on the car sales front.

No, it was a much longer name. It perhaps looked similar to the bottom line on an optician`s eye chart.;)

I worked at the renault center on canclow malcolm booth had a office their cant remember the sales managers name

bought a brand new fiat panda in 88 still waiting for the log book to be sent,what a shower they were ( sheaf Gardens)
