Directories from the 1960s and early 1970s show James Christie & Sons "stainless steel goods manufacturers" of Bryta Works, 100 Little London Road. Here is a link to a photo on the picturesheffield.com site, where the firm is described as making "stainless steel fittings and fabrications".

My mum worked there for a number of years. All I can definitely remember about it was her saying that her supervisor was called Ernest and they used to play "brag" every lunchtime.

my brother and dad worked there around 1976 their names were doug Fairfax
