Do You Love Him?

Old Jim just turned eighty two,

Been told by the doctors, there’s no more they can do,

Doctor says that it’s only a guess,

It could be two months or even less,

Thanks Doctor says old Jim,

Guess I’m ready to finally meet him,

And when I stand outside those gates,

Ready to meet family and mates,

There will only be one question asked to me,

Can you guess what that will be?

No said the Doctor but I am intrigued,

To know Jim in what you believe,

It won’t be whether I am Muslim or Christian?

He does not care about our denomination,

The question asked will be, do I love him?

Of which the reply to that is yes said Jim,

Doctor thank you for what you have done,

Remember these words when I am gone,

The path to heaven is lined with love,

For us to share, with the lord above.
