Mecky   10 #4 Posted June 20, 2011 Think you have to have a arms licence to sell airsoft weapons, can't see Antics having that.  Note: Airfix is not Airsoft
 Share this content via...
Locksley   10 #5 Posted June 20, 2011 lol, yeah Antics aren't really an Airsoft shop, though you don't need an arms license, they just need to be registered with UKARA, they do sell a few cheapo Non-UKARA (clear or brightly coloured) bb guns, but are primarily a model shop.  There aren't any proper airsoft shops in Sheffield unfortunately, I usually get my stuff from ZeroOne.co.uk or AirsoftWorld.co.uk. or if I'm feeling particularly adventurous KHMountain.com  Other than that game sites often have a small on site shop selling mags and grenades and whatnot, and there's a guy who turns up occasionally at Phoenix Airsoft's RAF Newton site who has a nice collection of guns (mainly pistols though; Glocks, Hi-Capas, USPs Beretta M9s etc, though he did once have a little M4 Diablo kinda thing).  So there about yer only options unless you fancy going to London or Edinburgh
 Share this content via...

Locksley   10 #7 Posted June 20, 2011 Theres a Gun shop just up Ecclesall Rd  They're just air guns and crossbows iirc, they certainly don't stock airsoft guns. Might not be a bad place for targets, scopes, sights etc though actually.
 Share this content via...
AJ sheffield   11 #8 Posted June 20, 2011 Theres a Gun shop just up Ecclesall Rd  If you are referring to Hardys gunshop then you need to be spending at least £500 there before he will give you the time of day.
 Share this content via...
mickw33 Â Â 10 #9 Posted June 20, 2011 DID YOU KNOW There is no such thing as a UKARA License or an Airsoft License. Â UKARA registers players to a database which can be looked up by participating retailers and queried by Customs etc. Any fee you may pay is to the game site for their administration or membership card provided by them, not to UKARA Â The part of the Violent Crime Reduction Act regarding airsoft is related to sales. Sales have been restricted from the general public by making the seller liable for prosecution. No license is involved in this, nor have there been any change to the basic control over use, ownership, or storage of RiFs previous to the new Act.
