IPhone insurance or AppleCare+

I'm thinking of buying a new iPhone and wondered what the consensus is on whether to opt for AppleCare+ or whether standard mobile phone insurance is better as it offers cover for theft and loss as well as accidental damage.

If the latter, does anyone have any recommendations for the best policies?

Just look after your stuff. I'd always look at it (insurance) as a form of gambling, you need to consider, cost to insure, cost to repair replace, chance of needing to repair or replace, etc.
