I suppose its personal opinion I like Beckham and rate him,you dont ,who is right ....lets let Beckhams record sort that eh.
By the way its Coldwell not Caldwell I would have thought you could at least get the spelling of one of your greatest legends correct

Oh 1 slight typo still int gunna change my opinion of DB fella, oh & while we are on the subject of greats try Tony Currie, Beckham; nor gods best mate Hoddle, could not even tie his boots. You speak of Jimmy Greaves (great player) same him play for Spurs @ WHL, but Brian Clough had the better scoring ration 274 games, 251 goals.
I would still like to to enlighten me as to why Beckham, should have a coaching role, just because someone can kick a ball does not makes them an expert coach. Bobby Charlton fantastic player, bloody awful manager, same as John Barnes, Martin Peters; I won't go on though.
No record of DB will convince me, other than that he's over-rated, you'll not change that sorry.

Ok no problem as I said opinions vary,by the way I never mentioned him in a coaching role you'll have to take that up with the relevant poster..oh and Jimmy scored all his goals in the top flight Cloughie didnt again though Im not knocking him.
Tony Currie..a god at a little club, couldnt hack it when he stepped up in class, as his statistics show

TC will ALWAYS be god in my eyes, and in fairness we could never be called a small club, in years gone by or now, we just ain't "BIG" though not many are. I do take your point on Cloughie though it is still an incredible record, seen some great palyers over years seen some pap.
Anyway sorry if I in any way upset you earlier (tho not over DB lol), not my intention, you seem a clued up sort on your footy, I could talk about it all day.
Its a strange fact that some players click at clubs & not at others. You sound old enough remember Derek Hayles @ Charlton, he could do no wrong for them, went to Derby in big money move & flopped.
It's strange & I cannot fathom it, look at Andy Carroll, he could move again & become another sensation.

Bellamy has done nothing this season yet he gets picked over Beckham.
Pearce classed Beckham as an "Out of form lesser player" in an interview the other day. He then goes on to say he only picks players in form lol.

I can't understand why football is an olympic sport? Or tennis.
I could just about buy it,if all the footballers were amateurs.
