woodmally   10 #1 Posted September 1, 2014 What do people think about the spate of celebrities that have had their private pictures spread over the internet.  Do people think that people searching for these images and reposting them should also be prosecuted or are celebrities fair game? donuticus   10 #2 Posted September 1, 2014 It's rather tawdry.  I don't see what they can be prosecuted for. The pictures are now in the public domain. The people who originally hacked the phone/cloud ccount then they've broken the law.
 Share this content via...

The Joker   10 #4 Posted September 1, 2014 A little more famous thanks to the 'hackers' who 'hacked' personal porno of herself she just happen to put on cloud.  Hmmm... if I was to google her or those images, would that suggest her publicity stunt worked?  I'll give it a miss. Happ Hazzard   10 #5 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) 1) Who is Jennifer Lawrence? 2) Who is Jennifer Lawrence? The biggest box office star of 2013. Hardly an obscure name!  EDIT: She also won the 2013 Oscar for Best Actress. I seriously don't think this is a Paris Hilton attempt to get publicity. She's arguably the best known actress in the world, and certainly no less than third best known (after Roberts and Bullock who have been around for years). The Joker   10 #6 Posted September 1, 2014 The biggest box office star of 2013. Hardly an obscure name!  What films has she been in then? No googling!
 Share this content via...
Happ Hazzard   10 #7 Posted September 1, 2014 Last year. Hunger Games Part 2 and American Hustle. The year before Hunger Games 1 and Silver Lining Playbook. This year X Men Days of Future Past. Likely plenty of other films as well.
 Share this content via...
The Joker   10 #8 Posted September 1, 2014 Last year. Hunger Games Part 2 and American Hustle. The year before Hunger Games 1 and Silver Lining Playbook. This year X Men Days of Future Past. Likely plenty of other films as well.  Is she the heroine from Hunger games? Katniss Something-or-other? The one who thinks she's Robin Hood?  I'm not being deliberately obtuse, I'm simply trying to build up a mental picture so I don't have to start googling.  Sorry, I never did finish watching American Hustle... my attention span only lasts 90 minutes
 Share this content via...

The Joker   10 #10 Posted September 1, 2014 Yes, she is.  Okay thanks for that. Still, I've no interest in googling those images; she's not my type
 Share this content via...
Funky_Gibbon   42 #11 Posted September 1, 2014 Hmmm... if I was to google her or those images, would that suggest her publicity stunt worked? I'll give it a miss.  It wasn't a publicity stunt. Last month someone broke into iCloud and stole 300,000 images. Jennifer Lawrence and a couple of other a-list/b-list/z-list celebs just happened to get caught in that by foolishly uploading their naughty pictures. Wow, I wasn't aware... what do people find difficult about spending £50 on an external hard drive and backing up all the pictures that way?  And why the trend to people to take nude pictures of themselves after so many stories of them being leaked by hackers or vindictive exes?  That's what makes me lean towards it being a publicity stunt
 Share this content via...
