i know there are a bunch of occupations that get to work today, just never considered that a kebab shop owner was one of those occupations

If there is demand some will open, I guess.

I am not usually one for ordering blind & I am somewhat far from home so any pointers re good places rather than just the list would be great.

For kebabs / chicken, Manu Salwa is pretty good, Spicy bites is also good I have been told.

For curry, Apna Lahore is nice.

Chinese seems to be closed, lol

I would check their food hygiene rating before using anywhere.

I'd imagine that lots are working, in various occupations, at this moment. I am one of those workers. I just fancied a change from a ready-meal, sad as it may seem :-)

Kebab, chicken or curry seemed like good options.

I know this is a little off topic but not unrelated......

If you are short of options in future consider putting a slow cooker meal on. Worth investing in one if you don't have one. I used to make lots of one pot slow cooker meals when I worked long shifts or when on self catering short breaks in the UK. Cook double and you can make your own ready meals if you have a freezer.
