If your computer is set to lock after an in-activity perion of 5 minutes say, then you maybe
logged off the forum, I don't know why this should be, I only found out when I increased
my wait setting to 20 minutes.

On Windows-7: right click on desktop, select personalise, select screen saver, increase
the wait period to 20 minutes, click apply, click ok.

I cannot offer any other options, if the above solves the issue or you find another solution
please post on this thread.

it does that on purpose. It's something to do with how bans actually come into force

If you don't want to have to log in continually, tick the 'remember me' box when you log in

The problem is that using that tick box leaves your account insecure, so I won't use it

The other method is to run SF in two tabs. Use the second window to just create 'activity' on your account by hitting 'refresh' occasionally whilst reading lengthy threads or typing lengthy replies

If you get the 'logged out' message, use a different tab to log back in instead of running the risk of losing your text
