ukdobby 223 #26 Posted April 18, 2017 Same thought struck me, but if they do that they are going to be asked "Tell us again - how much did he cost?". Had him once and they thought he wasn't good enough, let him go for next to nothing then thought we should have another look so paid millions for him,it's looking like the same result but dare they drop him? They can't afford to drop him . . . . . . or can they ? There's only one winner in all this . . . . . . and that's Paul Pogba laughing all the way to his bank , or more precisely . . . . . . one of his £5 million mansion houses. geared 302 #28 Posted April 19, 2017 4 goals in the League this year, not particularly impressive. Other midfield players in the squad are scoring more often, for 100 million Pogba isn't looking like a very good deal. They need someone scoring goals, Zlatan has been smashing them in all season but the poor sod is 35 now, he's doing very well compared to most others that age. MAC33 10 #29 Posted April 21, 2017 I turned the Man .Utd v Anderlecht game on late in the second half. Pogba one on one with keeper around 12 yards out on a slight angle. He went for the far post with a side foot pass. He did not miss hit the 'pass' in the least. It was never in a million years going to beat the keeper travelling at 10 mph! He should have hit it with his laces - hard - or a side foot pass with genuine force. What he tried was laughable. One of the worst finishers I've ever seen play professional football. taxman 12 #30 Posted April 25, 2017 What he tried was laughable. One of the worst finishers I've ever seen play professional football. His price tag is frankly bizarre. It's all due to inflation rather than skill though. How much did Giggs cost? Scholes? Even in the new age Ronaldo seems cheap. Messi was a bargain for Barca compared to Pogba...who is possibly the biggest waste of money ever.
 Share this content via...

stpetre 12 #34 Posted April 26, 2017 Lionel Messi didn't cost Barcelona one 'Peso' as he came through their youth team and the money in wages they have paid since and what he has done for them, they may still owe him ! Which is the reverse of Paul Pogba. ---------- Post added 26-04-2017 at 21:56 ---------- So did Pogba But you're right, you can't compare the players. Paul Pogba was with three French teams as a junior and transferred to Manchester United (while still a junior) for money. Not sure how that works tho'. If he were to be sold now how much would he lose his club? Not as much proportionally as another British record transfer, a South Yorkshire lad, who not long after Trevor Francis became the first English £1m footballer, became the first player to lose his club a million after only 48 appearances. He wouldn't lose them that much because there's that much cash in footy some clown will still pay a load for him. Was the player Steve Daley?
