crookesbooks   10 #1 Posted January 15, 2012 If anyone is looking for sheltered type housing for an eldery relative in Sheffield then I just wanted to recommend Abbeyfield in Broomhill.  My Nan had a great time there. Each resident gets a room of their own with an ensuite bathroom, and a small kitchen sink and fridge. The real bonus is that each lunchtime and evening a proper meal is cooked by an onsite housekeeper. The food is excellent.  The monthly bills include everything - rent, bills, council tax, food, cleaning. There really is nothing else to pay.  The staff are really helpful and kind. The staff do not stop over-night, but each resident is enrolled with city wide alarms that deal with emergencies out of hours via a personal alarm.  The location is excellent in that it is really close to a 52 bus stop and it has a private car park for visitors so avoiding Broomhill parking charges.  There is even a small garden. It suits people that dont want to live on their own but are too well for full residential care. Each resident has full independence to come and go as they please with meals provided if they want them.
 Share this content via...
