Best zombie movies?

Just finished watching The Dead, which was pretty awesome for a low budget zombie flick.

Seeings as zombies are all the rage right now, could you all recommend me some good zombie movies to watch with my mates?

We watched La Horde last week and that was great, if extremely violent.

Bah, Day of the Dead had aged rather badly the last time I saw it. McDermott looked like Blackadder in Series 2.

i suppose i grew up with it, i still love it, a lot more dark and depressing than the others, but i watched it hundreds of times back in the day

well i meant it as he wanted some for a lads night, and its a great film for that type of thing

The last two Romero zombie films - Diary of the Dead and Survival of the Dead - are fairly rubbish.

The original trilogy (NOTLD, Dawn and Day) are all excellent, and Land of the Dead is quite good.

Return of the Living Dead 3 is an underrated classic, the first two are ok but not up to Romero's standards.

Zombi 2 is another good one. It was a fake sequel to Dawn of the Dead (called Zombi in Italy).
