Estimate for knocking kitchen through

Recommended Posts

I am considering knocking my kitchen through into where the downstairs toilet and coal house are to make the kitchen obviously bigger. Its a mid terrace ex council house and am wanting some idea about how much it would cost to do. Anyone who's had this done already who could give me some idea of cost would be great

thanks

Hi we have done loads of these there is around a day for to men to knock out then you need a catnic lintel fitting. the main thing you need to consider if i have the style of property right in my mind then you will have a step down out of the kitchen door and a step back up into the down stairs loo so the floor will require leveling and in turn the back door replaceing as it is at a lower level to the kitchen floor. also dont fall foul of only leveling the step the toilet and coal house floor will need breaking out to fit a vapper barrier and king span as the were fitted without any and the cause of damp when walls are plastered.

That all said i would be happy to come and give you any free advice and no obligations quote for the work.

Kind regards

Paul

Yes you are right about the door. Can you give me a ball park figure of the ones you have done before because I honestly have no idea so I might not even be able to afford it.
