Alcoblog   10 #1 Posted January 3, 2017 Due to an unusually high gas bill recently, I naturally wondered what the bill would be for the Sun over the same period? Yes, I know the Sun burns hydrogen as opposed to what comes out of the cooker, but for the sake of argument, let's assume it (Sun) burns the same gas.  I've got as far as the Sun burning 600,000,000 tons of hydrogen per second, which, according to npower is what they estimate I use in the same sorta timescale. Unfortunately, I've got a bit stuck after this bit as I've nearly run out of noughts in my calculator.  Can anyone help … quarterly bill for the Sun? Guest sibon   #11 Posted January 3, 2017 A quarterly bill for the sun would only be an eightherly really.  Don't forget that the sun goes out every night, thus saving 50% on its gas bill.
 Share this content via...
Alcoblog   10 #12 Posted January 3, 2017 A quarterly bill for the sun would only be an eightherly really. Don't forget that the sun goes out every night, thus saving 50% on its gas bill.  To be honest, I've thought through this line of thinking myself. If the Sun was to come out at night instead of the daytime, it'd be off peak, saving even more.
 Share this content via...
