In England we have a funny tradition for the first day of each month.

First we say "Pinch, punch, it's the first of the month!"

Then we give somebody a small pinch and a light punch on the arm.

We can do this on first day of every month.

What a strange ritual.

my sister did this to me tonight when I saw her... I looked at her like she was special! Never heard of it until tonight.

I never heard of it until I came to live in Wales - and not even then until a few years ago!!!!!!

Somebody did it to me and I didn't have a clue what it was about and nearly hit them back!!!!!!

Yep, got the wife this morning..

My wife got me first for a change.........we always pinch punch.
