Pub Grub after wedding/before reception?

Recommended Posts

Since I am looking at a morning wedding, and don't want (and can't afford) a 12hr long, 2 part/2 buffet reception, I was thinking of getting wed, then for close family, friends to choose if they want to join us at a nice pub somewhere in or no outskirts of Sheffield (preferably somewhere with greenery and views, nice grub, ale, kids playground?), at their expense, then everyone invited to an evening reception.

Any ideas on pubs? I think it would be a grand idea!

:)

You may be better off asking this question in the Going out section of the Forum.

Do you want to steer your guests to the venue where the evening function will take place to spend the whole day or to a pub nearby it?

I'd probably suggest they go to near where your venue will be. Have you picked that yet?

No not picked it yet, CR, just looking at it now. I'd say 45 people at wedding, then those people can choose to come to pub (I am presuming at least 20 of those would anyway, close family, kids, best friends etc), or not (duno how they would while away the 6 or so hours in bertween times though)? Then all invited to night do + ( and more people).

So stressed already! x
