Writing a Novel workshops / Space to Write days

Recommended Posts

We're now taking bookings for our popular and slightly re-vamped Writing a Novel workshops. We've looked carefully at the feedback we've received - overwhelmingly glowing but with a few suggestions for improvement – and we've made some little tweaks and twiddles so that we're focusing on what people have enjoyed the most and found the most useful.

You can book or reserve a place on any of the workshops in the programme, but we're particularly keen to take bookings for Planning and Plotting, which is on 24th of September (£45) and for our special Space to Write day on 8th of October. (£30, or £25 if you have attended any of our one-day novel workshops over the past year, or if you've booked a place on any of the new ones.) Could you do with some time away from domestic responsibilities and distractions? For this one day, from 10.30 until 4.30, it's just about you and your writing, with no need to think about work, shopping, cooking, laundry, childcare, cleaning, unblocking the sink, washing the car, taking the cat to the vet etc. Why pay to go somewhere and write when you could just do it at home? Well, we offer a little more than a room to work in. We're offering writing prompts If you'd like them, a structured period of time at the end of the day for participants to showcase their work, plus you'll have two highly experienced writer/tutors on hand to give encouragement, support, and advice where possible. And there's something about working in a room full of other writers that generates an incredibly powerful creative energy – most people find they at least double their usual output by attending a day's retreat. There will be refreshments, obvs, with decent coffee and home-made biscuits. It'll be FAB!

Full details of this, and our other one-day workshops appear here:
