A true legend of the sport and came across as a true gent, if he had stayed on bikes who knows how many titles he would have won, certainly one of the top six of all time imho.R.I.P.

Every sad to hear this news. He was the first F1 champion I can remember from my childhood. He did an awful lot of work for charitable causes following the death of his son.

A prime example of a well deserved knighthood that never happened.

I watched a documentary/interview type thing a year or so ago on him.

I thought it was really good if you haven't seen it,

He was a really interesting and likeable man on this, I thought.
