longiesta   14 #14 Posted January 22, 2017 The service at Marmadukes isn't very good, walked out last time we went got fed up waiting to be served, also not much room a bit stuffy.  Thought you ordered at the counter in there? Has it changed?
 Share this content via...
neilf   10 #15 Posted January 22, 2017 Thought you ordered at the counter in there? Has it changed?  Was told to take a seat and someone would come and take our order which we did! but they didn't! so upped and left.
 Share this content via...
ECCOnoob   1,050 #16 Posted January 22, 2017 Excuse me... We are still waiting for our order to be taken...  Surely that would have sufficed as a starting point?
 Share this content via...

birobasher   27 #19 Posted January 23, 2017 Any suggestions for somewhere for a decent sandwich at lunchtime not too far from the Crucible? I'm taking my 90 year old mum to the theatre and would like somewhere comfy where you don't feel crammed in next to the other customers. Mum likes Andrews on Chapel Walk but it's makes me feel claustrophobic! Thanks  There's a cafe in Chapel Walk not far from the Crucible. We are still waiting for our order to be taken...  Surely that would have sufficed as a starting point?  I was with my husband he doesn't do waiting or queing so ended up at Urban Deli had a nice lunch worked out cheaper than Marmadukes! so both happy! nuff said. Asking them for some specifics might have been better.  Anyway - it's up to you.
 Share this content via...
