Recommended Posts

The bulb has gone that lights up the speedometer on the dash of our Picasso, does anyone know of somewhere (apart from Evans Halshaw ) that i can go and get it replaced, or is it pretty easy to do myself???

Bulbs are

Three pounds from halfords ( cheaper on eBay ) fairly easy to fit yourself :)

£35 I was quoted a couple of years back by Stoneacre :o , didn't bother. Theres a number of bulbs behind there so if all illumination has gone then it's probably not a bulb.

In my case it was one bulb that had come loose - banged on the top of the dash and it came back on :hihi:

The bulbs won't be too expensive to buy, but the labour involved might be. Try Bellamy Autos who are citroen specialist or another garage should be able to help. Number for Bellamy's is 0114 233 8478.

Slightly off subject but,my picasso cut out while driving down motorway, managed to get across to hard shoulder and phone r.a.c They took me to evans halshaw who put the car on the computer which said there was no problems, and evans halshaw said the problem arose because the dashlight bulb had gone. Sounded very odd to me.

funny the number of threads you see regarding citroens. they are regarded by mechanics as one of the most difficult cars to work with. which i guess explains a lot. i drive a C4 myself, no issues yet, touch wood.

I can see the bulb being quite cheap. Regent House Motors would be able to tell you exactly, their citroen specialists so should be able to sort the problem quickly for you.

Their number is...0114 2730111

or you can visit... http://www.regenthousemotors.co.uk

Hope this helps :)

The bulbs themselves are fairly cheap and the labour to fit them (with us) would be just £5.00 :)

From experience I would advise that you replace the full set of dash bulbs while it is out, as once one has gone others tend to follow.

One of mine failed in a Pug 307. I replaced it but found it to be a different brightness to the remaining two! So I nipped back to the dealer and got two more!
