vwkittie   10 #1 Posted June 8, 2017 We are thinking of buying an older (1870s) property, but we'd really like to knock through the kitchen and dining room as the kitchen is very small. I'm sure it'd be load bearing, but the house isn't listed or anything like that. It's detached so no adjoining properties to think about.  Can anyone recommend a builder for this sort of work? Ideally someone with a proven track record of working with older buildings.  Has anyone done similar in a house of this age? Any ideas of rough costs, potential pitfalls, things to consider etc would be really appreciated.  Cheers
 Share this content via...
