Tom Cobley   10 #7 Posted September 7, 2009 So how about if I say that IMO the sky is green?  Sky is white....or at least my dish is!
 Share this content via...
zongamin   10 #8 Posted September 7, 2009 So how about if I say that IMO the sky is green?  'The sky is green' is not an opinion, as it attempts to assert something as a fact. It is also incorrect, because it can be disproved using evidence.  Imagine you said 'There are 100 centimetres in a metre' - again, not an opinion, simply a statement of fact.  For it to be an opinion it must be 'based on grounds insufficient to produce certainty'. I can never quite place where blue stops and green starts.  ^^^What he said.  Not only is there a huge crossover between blue-green and green-blue, but what if you have a different understanding of what makes something blue or green than other people?
