carosio   186 #3 Posted January 8, 2013 Yes, but I'll have another go. The manufacturer's Installation guide ought to explain it but as I say it seems to conflict with the zone settings that have already been nominated on the alarm (it's actually for a neighbour)- I'm replacing the battery when it arrives so the system will be powered down and returned to factory settings.  I don't have the programming code anyway. samonosuke   10 #4 Posted January 8, 2013 Replacing the internal battery doesn't necessarily mean that the alarm will lose its settings.
 Share this content via...
gym_rat   10 #5 Posted January 8, 2013 what are you actually wanting to do - use a different device as EE or add another device as EE as well as the original device?
 Share this content via...
carosio   186 #6 Posted January 8, 2013 Replacing the internal battery doesn't necessarily mean that the alarm will lose its settings.  You're correct, a look at the instructions says you have to short out the RST pins to restore factory settings.  ---------- Post added 08-01-2013 at 22:41 ----------  what are you actually wanting to do - use a different device as EE or add another device as EE as well as the original device?  The situation is this: the present entry zone is the back door (kitchen) and I need to swap it to the front door (contact). Nothing is intended to be altered, just a swap of entry zone.  So now as you enter through the back door you can walk through the lounge and into the hallway where the panel is and switch off as normal.  The alarm installer noted on the user instructions that the Hall is zone 1, landing 2, Lounge 3, front door (contact) zone 4, kitchen entry/exit (zone 5?).  The installation instructions only mention zone 2 and zone 1 in part-set as the entry zones. carosio   186 #12 Posted April 13, 2016 Another fault- Panel dead, no lights, found F3 fuse (1A) blown. replacement blew after 1 sec. This fuse handles the 21v ac according to manual, so presume is associated with power supply. Wondering whether anything external to the control panel has overloaded it, or is it time for a new alarm?
 Share this content via...
