It were probably a sparrow. Alcoblog enjoys gluing different coloured quality street wrappers to his eyeballs...then tells lies.:P

 

Oh ye (and another in post above you) of little faith … it was definitely a hummingbird. I watched it for some considerable time through my new binoculars.

I was pretty startled to see a humming bird in my garden facility earlier. Bright yellow.

Hmmm...

 

... or it could just have been a canary practising a bit of 'a cappella' singing? :confused:

Wrong on all counts (one at a rough tot-up).

My VR glasses have recently been stolen, not by a toucan as this thread may imply, but an ostrich.

It's not unusual to see exotic birds in the UK, especially in London where parakeets are a common sight.

I've spotted a few piecost in the Peak District over the past couple of years.

if it was a toucan it will have been mobbed and is probabley dead by now.
