Thanks for that, so it needs a lake or large expanse of water then.

 

Just to add, when I googled the link it appeared, but was blocked by my McAfee anti virus immediately as a suspicious link.

Try Gunthorpe to get onto the 'Trent'. Not sure if you have to pay.

The days of speed(ing) boats at Gunthorpe has ended.

On the Trent from Gainsborough upriver, the speed limits vary from 4 to 8 mph relative to the shore.

Downriver from Gainsborough there is no speed limit but it's really far too dangerous for such a small boat. ABP own the river traffic as far as Hull and Goole and say they insist on double manning and radio use and contact. Even large power boats travel in pairs.

I think the person must have seen people on ski boats at Gunthorpe, Which belong to Trent powerboat and ski club, They operate from Hazelford too, The joining fees are expensive though, Oh and I use the trent on a regular basis and prefer to travel on my own.:)
