Let's look at it more sensibly. He was the only player who refused to take a penalty, brilliant logic from a prolific striker. Not many applaud him.

Try to stick to the facts rather than attempt to hide behind spin.

Jordan Rhodes didn't "refuse" to take a penalty...he said he didn't feel confident in taking one....

See your own comment above.... i've highlighted it for you....

Developing and selling players is all part of the modern game.

Jordan Rhodes - what striker worth his salt refuses to take a penalty when called on to do so by his club. 'Not up for it' is not a valid excuse. His decision put pressure on someone else and we all know the consequences.

Anyone calling a striker who has a goal scoring record of practically 1 goal every 2 games spread over 400 matches as "rubbish" shouldn't have his views taken seriously...

Same outcome. Someone else had to take on his responsibilities and screwed up.

Any more spin?

So can you explain then how the "best academy outside the top flight" has benefitted the club?

SUFC's Academy now has a fantastic reputation for bringing on players who are worthy of Premier League football, and International football.

This therefore benefits the club quite simply because when parents are deciding where to send their young budding footballing Son, they may well choose SUFC's Academy over others.

You cant knock what they do Top.

Its the reputation of success that benefits SUFC.

How that all fits in with the running of the club, misfit managers what we have had is a different debate.

PS: Reports that Louis Reid on verge of signing for Barnsley = another £500k !
