Optiplex 745 cable

I have a OptiPlex 745 Small Form Factor computer with a missing cable.

The cable goes from the motherboard to the Floppy Drive, it's not the usual cable that fits larger desktops. Does anyone have one or know where I could get one?

They use a standard Floppy cable - just shorter..... and with single connection on each end instead of one in the middle of the cable too!

No they don't, I'll see if I can post a picture of the motherboard

I think I've got a cupboard of 745s, I'll take a look.

I know what cable you mean but I can't imagine why you would want one! What do you need to do that requires the FDD?

Loads of reasons for use of a floppy drive. I still use one to write disk images back to real 3.5" disks for use on older computers.

got loads of stuff on floppy's, they are still handy when you've got small stuff to keep separate

Ah I know the one you mean... a little flatter, with a different plug on the end (kinda an inset with a blade in the middle, rather than holes for pins)

I think I have a couple, i'll have a look later / tomorrow....
