Stunned to hear that Geoffrey hughes (eddie Yates) has died!

Recommended Posts

I am stunned to hear that Geoffrey Hughes (Eddie Yates) has died!

He was also renowned for playing "slob" Onslow, Hyacinth Bucket's brother in law In Keeping Up Appearances, and Vernon Scripps in heartbeat.

He was 68. :(

Me too, I didn't even realise he was that age, loved him in everything he did.

Great actor.

He was a fixture in my childhood TV viewing days when Coronation Street aired twice a week, Monday and Wednesday and had wonderful characters. Eddie Yates, Stan and Hilda, amongst many.

Certainly not the piffle it is nowadays!

Anyway, RIP Eddie.
