Gas cooker hose problem

Recommended Posts

Hi, just after a little advice of anyone in the know...

Picked up a cooker off here for someone, got it in to their kitchen and found that the hose connected to the back of the cooker is too big and of a different type to the gas pipe that it attaches to. I'm not totally sure on the sizes but the rubber hose connected direct from the cooker back is 3/4", as is its male bayonet connector, the gas pipe is 1/2" with a female bayonet fitting. It doesn't look like the cooker hose is meant to come off, so I'm pretty sure the gas pipe will have to be adapted.

Any idea's please.

Sounds like it wants a new hose but if its a used cooker i would get it tested by a registered engineer from anywhere you like dont take it for granted the cooker is safe cheers Jon at JB Heating Services.
