Rise in number of rats across our city

I've noticed in the past week a significant rise in the number of rats I've seen in various parts of our city.

Has anyone else, or have I just been 'lucky'?

I think this week they were just passing through on their way up to Manchester.

These are only natural animals who at times distribute unhealthy germs, disease.

Yes you are lucky, I saw PM on telly last night and would have been more amazed and emotionally touched watching rats out there.

I'm sure your claim is accuRATe, but as some people on here tend to exaggeRATe a bit it needs to be RATified.

Can anyone else corroboRATe your story?

I too have seen them left right and centre. In fact I was having a discussion with my barber the other day about the current rat epidemic. We especially agreed on the following locations to regularly encounter these little varmints:-

1) KFC Queens Road

2) Church near Crucible

3) Anywhere close to a river

4) The Wicker (specially at the rear of the foot establishments)

I think the problem will only increase if active steps are not taken soon!!!!

Hope you're well and not feeling too ratty today!

Well, now it's been brought to my attention I do seem to be seeing a lot more RATs than normal...

Having lived in Tower Hamlets, Sheffield in comparison seems almost void of them.

Oh sheffield is full of them !

Just seen a dead one by canal.

In laws had council check for and poison rats near their house few weeks ago.

There are flippin loads of them around at the moment! We need more foxes.

On that note, anyone else seen all the foxes painted on walls on Abbeydale Rd area (and quite possibly other locations that I haven't noticed/been to)? What's that all about?

The rats enjoy the dirty habits of some of the people of Sheffield, just look at the feasts of part eaten takeaways left out for them on the streets of the city.
