Also this can be followed by " is this it" and "is it coming soon" but yesterday took the biscuit when someone asked about a bus and then said " is it due to rain heavy today" metroline must have forgot to put the weather forcast up
It amazes me how they can remember where they live.

People who can't stand in a queue and try to look menacing when shoving in to get on the bus.

Or those shifty looking types that even a friendly person like me wouldn't dream of sharing a conversation with if it could be avoided.

You are too literal. They are drawn by your charisma and ask the questions in an attempt to engage you in conversation. You should feel flattened by their attention.

The OP's problem is that he eats too many Big Macs which nutrition experts have determined can lead to acute and unreasonable hostility towards any person who asks questions of any kind.
Continued eating of said Big Macs will eventually lead to sudden frothing at the mouth fits whenever the subject sights a bus stop and later on permanent mental dementia.

I wonder how the eating of a Big Mac is relevant to the OP's anecdote, did he eat it in an attempt to repel fellow bus-stop users?

I understand the 24 hour clock but can't always reach to see the timetable. Sorry if some of us think that because you have a nice helpful looking face that you ARE, nice and helpful that is.

This thread brings to mind the Jasper Carrot "Nutter on the Bus" sketch......Is the OP the nutter? or is he the storyteller (JC)

Hi Del Boy
Going back to numpty's @ bus stops
Yes I can read a 24 hour timetable.
when I ask the question is 1 due is because I want confirmation that buses are still running
