Xbox one availability

I'm trying to get hold of one for Christmas for my lad but the signs are not good.

Do you peeps reckon it will be sold out and is it even worth pre-ordering ???

Both sony and ms have stated that they are "holding some back" for public sale on day 1.

I do know the best place to just walk in and buy one launch day should be costco, no pre orders.

I would also like to know where I can preorder these for LAUNCH, I asked at hmv and game today in mhall both said they can guarantee for Christmas but no chance for lauch day.
