Leeds United v Sheff Wed 25 / 2 / 17.

Recommended Posts

Hope Wednesday have got the Brentford defeat out of their system .

We need to start the Leeds match the way we started the 2nd half v Brentford.

My only concern is defence (full-backs).Anyone got update on Morgan Fox injury?

CC has got a huge squad of good players at his disposal, but rarely picks a

balanced team.

ie : playing players out of position.

playing players out of form.

playing players not good enough.

playing players, favourites.

Keep striker Chris Wood (aerial power) quiet and should be ok.

I'd take this now, but I think this may be a draw.

I'm going 1-1

Fulham catching us out of nowhere, so we just have to hope we don't lose.

To be fair to Carlos,Wednesday have had a great run,up until Tuesday night and the subsequent reactions to the defeat, have been somewhat over the top to say the least...yes we know performances have been poor, but results wise it can't be knocked...

Team wise, you'd have to hope Tom Lees is fit and that Hunt,Pudil(or Fox) are brought back in and the defence which has kept so many clean sheets is restored.

Its a game we are capable of winning and whilst a point would be ok...a win would be even better...

I sure was advocating Sasso at full-back and have no reason to alter

my train of thought. He signed for Wednesday as a CD/FB.

As i've previously stated other than Morgan Fox the full-backs on our books

are simply not good enough, Lge 1 players at best.

Thats the reason i would have played Sasso FB.

Sasso has the nous the present FB's do not possess.

With Lees injured Sasso has to partner Loovens.

Yes and before you mention it only three teams have conceded less this

season.

So why have Wednesday kept a host of clean sheets and only three teams

have conceded less goals with having to play poor FB's?

Simple answer. . . very good Central Defenders and a great goalkeeper.

Our FB's are a big issue ,it has been all season, but CC has not addressed it.

And yes, prior to the Brentford match played 4 - - - WON 4 - - -12 pts.

It could quite easily could have read played 4 - - LOST 4 - - - 0 pts.

I'm pretty sure Fox and Lees will play, if we can keep Woods quiet we should be ok but we have been susceptible to high balls into the area which Woods will relish, this game has a history of being 1-1, it may continue.

1-1

I'd be more than happy to welcome Fox and Lees back into the fold.

Don't know if you've got inside info (Fox / Lees ) but respect it.

As you say re -high balls , that will be Leeds ploy no doubt.

Lets hope Lee Bullen has sorted the problem area - - high balls into the box.

Don't know how bad the weather is in Leeds, but if the storm continues, those high balls might be a problem for both sets of players.

No inside info mate I've just got a feeling CC has been "saving" them for this game.
