West Indies are a poor side,this summer will be a test but we have a few players I wouldn't like to throw in yet,maybe this tour can get Trott up to scratch,if he does nothing 3rd test I'd leave him out.

The only downside is that we will almost inevitably pick the same 11 which means more trott and Jordan and no rashid (or plunkett) and lyth. It's an improvement - we could (and did the last time we were in WI) collapsed for next to nothing and lost so we are moving in the right direction. Bigger tests in the summer.

Pick your best players and go from there. If you make team spirit the starting point you're ignoring the fact that the best thing for team spirit is winning!

No doubt Pietersen has had issues when playing with England, now Strauss is top dog i think it is a personnel issue and if that is the case then both of them should not be involved in the England set up, the team comes first.
