riverunner   10 #1 Posted October 26, 2014 Hava a collection of old video 8mm and DV tapes that I want to convert onto a DVD and edit them into a short film.They are all of my kids growing up just found them in the loft but the camcorders won't work. Â Even a tenner sounds a lot but either if it's important films, then worth it. Â data transfer is so quick now, that I think we take it for granted. I finally ditched the VHS 2 years ago. mason08   10 #11 Posted November 25, 2015 Yes I thought £35 was a bit steep too, it may be cheaper to buy a video player and just keep it forever.  But they are important videos to me and my family so sending them away for 3 to 4 weeks to be copied fills me with fear.
