Stupidest thing you've believed.

What's the stupidest thing you've believed?

I read a story in one of the Superman comics where he's had his strength drained by Green Kryptonite. He got it back by drinking acetic acid in the story so I necked a bottle of Sarson's thinking it would give me super powers. Unsurprisingly the only power it gave me was the ability to chuck the contents of my stomach a considerable distance.

Still, given the use some people put bottles of vinegar to, I think I got off lightly.

Also, I used to think Children in Need was about charity and not just an excuse for the BBC to air a six hour promo for Eastenders.

That draughts (the sort that came in through open windows and under doors) were animate, malevolent beings like goblins. Probably because my parents would say things like 'Let's shut your bedroom window now, to keep the draughts out'.

I was only about 6 at the time, though.

I tend to believe every thing that people tell me .

That has always been my down fall.

I used to believe that the world was made by a super wizard (think Harry Potter plus Gandalf multiplied by ten. I used to believe he had a zombie son and that his arch nemeses was a talking snake!

What guff.

When I was about four or five we had a dog called Punch and a cat called Judy. I thought Judy was Punch's wife like the puppets.

Ha! I was under exactly the same delusion. Time proved us both wrong, sadly.

I used to believe everyone was born with a sense of humour, until I joined Sheff Forum.
