Paul Pogba worth £100million?

Recommended Posts

It is expected that Man Utd will complete the signing of Paul Pogba soon for a world record £100 million fee. Pogba's agent is set to pocket a nice 20 million Euro fee as well.

Is he really in the same class as Messi or Ronaldo? He looked average in the Euro Championships but obviously Jose sees something exceptional in him.

Man U might be regretting letting him go in the first place four years ago.

He is very good. Usually plays on the wing or attacking central midfied.

For a tall person he has amazing ball skills, can run like a cheetah and can pick a creative pass.

Not in the Messi class by a long way though.

Having Read the Wikipedia page on him just now, it seems strange that Manchester United would spend so much for a player they gave away in such circumstances in 2012. I'm sure Alex Ferguson wouldn't have re-signed him even for half of that..

Apparently Pogba had an over developed sense of his worth and wanted a massive salary even though he was just a teenager who hadn't even broken through into the first team.

Fergie wasn't having any of that nonsense.

That's always the argument. Is a brain surgeon worth more than a football player....well when millions of people worldwide subscribe to medical channels streaming live brain surgery then we'd get the answer.

And compared to the old days at least the players are getting the bulk of the money rather than the directors of the club, after all it's the players people pay to see, not the board of executives.

He needs to play further forward to reveal his ability.

He played numerous times for Juventus as a wide man in a front three - so perhaps that's the solution.

As a defensive midfielder he looks well above a average but nothing like worth 100 million.

After half a season no he is not worth it though Marino is happy with him.
