Sheffield Academy of Performing Arts - Musical Theatre Summer School for 6 to 18 year olds.

An amazing, fun-filled, creative and educational week, where pupils are coached by professional tutors in acting, singing and dance. Pupils will prepare and perform excerpts from "Shrek the Musical" and "Matilda the Musical" in the end of week show.

Sheffield Academy of Performing Arts is holding a musical theatre summer school from 1st - 5th August 2016 at King Edward VII Upper School on Glossop Road.

This fun, jam-packed summer school will give pupils the opportunity to work alongside professional tutors to prepare and perform adaptations of the two hit musicals "Grease" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".

A fantastic, creative, fun-filled and educational week where you can:

• Improve singing technique, breath control, tone, tuning and harmonies.

• Learn scripted scenes, develop characterisation and explore vocal range.

• Use dance in combination with song to increase stamina and enhance co-ordination.

• Work as team to improve performance skills.

• Gain performance experience, heighten knowledge and build confidence.

• Make new friends and most importantly, HAVE FUN!

Pupils will perform to friends and family in the End of Week Show!

PERFORMING ARTS SUMMER SCHOOL 2016

It's a full week of acting,singing and dancing, making lots of new friends, learning performance/audition and teamwork skils. Also gaining confidence with being on stage. Having lots fun.

Friday performance for family and friends in our own 50 seat theatre.

It will take place from Monday 1st - Friday 5th August 2015

Starts at 10am and Finish's at 3pm (early drop off times and later pick up times can be arranged).

Age 5-16 yrs

£60 for the week.

We are based at The Nichols building (top floor). Shalesmoor. S3 8UJ.

Right by a bus stop and tram stop.

What we do during the week?

Each day we will do a acting, singing and dance class, In theses classes we will get ready for the end of the week performance.
