Should the judge be lenient to the woman who assaulted Jeremy Vine?

Recommended Posts

The lawyer of a woman who verbally assaulted the journalist and DJ Jeremy Vine, has pleaded to the judge to be lenient in his sentencing as she has been 'punished enough' already on Twitter. (Oh boo hoo)

Read more about the background story here (including footage of the altercation)

Personally I couldn't care less if people have had a go at her via twitter. Irrespective, the judge should ignore that and be harsh. I thought her behaviour was disgusting.

Of course the judge shouldn't be lenient on her because people have had a go at her on twitter.

One good thing about the high profile of this case is that a lot of otherwise unknowing people have been educated about where cyclists are supposed to ride on the road.

Given she has already received a suspended sentence in 2012 for assault & ABH she clearly hasn't learned a lesson. What else are we to do with people who believe they can act however they like to others in our society with impunity? I hope she gets a stay at HM pleasure.

That being said, any other cyclist and the police would refuse to investigate and she would have got away with it. Probably she will receive a non-custodial sentence as a single mother of a young child.

I think lawyer only doing job when asking. I think judge will be fair. Roadrage is not nice.

She was already under a suspended sentence, clearly hasn't learnt her lesson.

She was also making threats to others over Twitter while she was on trial.

I think bad roadrage people are like bad twitter people. People are nice when they meet person to person when not driving car.

NO, why should they. She is a serial offender.

People who are on Twitter should be interned in labour camps anyway.
