A problem with paypal or is it safari?

Recommended Posts

I recently tried to buy an item on e bay from a trader using paypal.

There was a choice of using paypal or a card but when clicking on the paypal button a page for "my galaxy" appeared.

This page has appeared recently when I use google with safari.

I have now uninstalled "my galaxy" from safari applications but how did it get onto my iMac?

Do you have a Samsung phone? If so have you ever connected to your iMac? Wondering that when you connected the phone you installed the My Galaxy app at the same time without realising?

Or if your logged into Google on several devices then your information is shared across them. Maybe you used My Galaxy from your phone at some point?

Yes, I have a samsung S4 and until I looked, after your post, I didn't know that it had that app on it.

But I have connected the phone to the Mac at some stage.

I have now uninstalled "my galaxy" from the mac and the paypal option works.
