tomo2001   10 #13 Posted April 11, 2017 Hi, we specialise in this sort of work. id advise you to get plans drawn up first, get the architect out then at least you know what your allowed to do etc. if not most builders will be guessing! If possible its easier to do the work quicker and cheaper if the property can be ripped out and renovated at the same time as the extension build as trades only need to come once when shell is built. It gets more difficult if the customers is keen to move in! Average turn round of theses type jobs is 3months! id be happy to have a chat with you but would defo recommend extension plans as a first step! cheers James  Hi James, got your PM but couldn't reply due to being a newbie on here and not posting enough yet. Wanted to send you a drawing as an idea just to try and understand budget needs.
 Share this content via...

tomo2001 Â Â 10 #15 Posted April 11, 2017 Looking in a different direction now and probably going to forget the idea of the wraparound extension now. Thinking of just going with the maximum permissible extension size (without planning) onto the kitchen/dining room at the rear and then knocking out wall between kitchen/dining room. Then looking at converting back third of garage into utility and downstairs wc. Â ---------- Post added 18-04-2017 at 17:59 ---------- Â My head is in a complete spin regarding this work. Â At the back of my mind I keep thinking is it sensible to rewire the existing house and replace the central heating system during our 2 week summer holiday (house empty). Â Could the electrician and heating engineer then make the system easily extendable to take into account the future extension ? Â Thanks in advance for advice again
 Share this content via...
