silentP Â Â 10 #8 Posted May 17, 2017 The survey has been compiled on a few occasions with cities getting varying results that move them up and down the table, it's as meaningful as Eurovision.
 Share this content via...
alchresearch   214 #9 Posted May 17, 2017 Last year:  Crookes, Crosspool and Ranmoor have been named as among some of the best places to live in Britain in a new survey.  Which suburb of Sheffield has been named one of the best places in Britain to live?  http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/which-suburb-of-sheffield-has-been-named-one-of-the-best-places-in-britain-to-live-1-7976790
 Share this content via...
dutch   68 #10 Posted May 17, 2017 Comparing and rating cities on income, house prices, jobs, schools, crime rates is as meaningless as comparing a chicken farm with a potato farm.  ( Kevin Pratt from MoneySuperMarket said: 'Parents naturally want the best for their children, whether it's a good school, a safe and leafy neighbourhood, or plenty of career opportunities when they grow up.')  Reading this clearly shows what type of person Kevin Pratt is. He has great hopes and dreams of some perfect heaven on earth world where everyone gets the best and most perfect in a world where everyone has a good job and crime doesn't exist. This survey has been made by very unhappy frustrated people yet they think their failure gives them the key to where you can find happiness. According to this survey people are not free to be good themselves because the survey claims this quality of life is in control of the society they live in. Just a little insight and you are free from this depressive line of thinking, the city you live in is not in control of how good or bad your live is. If you are wide awake, no matter how many potholes, your wakefulness will give you a tool to never hit them.
 Share this content via...

DnAuK Â Â 10 #12 Posted May 17, 2017 The problem is that Sheffield, at the moment, pretty much is a dump. The city centre is largely a building site, there isn't as much to do as it's local competitors, and transport in and out of the city is poor. That said, you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs, as the saying goes. Can only hope it's improved in the long run. But how it can be placed behind Wakefield I have no idea.
