Anyone else had the misfortune to visit yet?! They have obviously spent a decent amount on the refurb, but I am not sure it is tasteful. The decor is a mix of dark and brothel red.

I think their house rules were written by Alan Partridge, seriously, they have not researched Sheffield at all....here are some of my favourites.

- If our prices are too high feel free to take your monkey nuts elsewhere

- No name dropping, no brown nosers, no free loaders

- No scallywags or riff raff

- Dress code, weekend rockstar, doormans discretion

- Our bartenders are professionals and should be treated as such.

The list goes on. These are on the back of all menus, should anyone forget. No draught beer, no cider, and £5 + bottles.

Ordered Gin and tonic, ask them to use a measure if you want any actual gin in it, they free pour as they are clearly so highly trained, he stopped with gin before i counted to 2. ( I can free pour and he was miles out and under).

It will undoubtedly be heading the way of Bar and Grill and Tropeiro. We had one and left, there is no reason to return. They should have let Hooters take it after all.

How longs it been open? A week?

Sounds like just a new pretentious bar for certain people to go to in order to feel better off. That being said I don't blame them for opening a bar like this. There are many people willing to pay over the odds if they think it's fancy.

I'd give it two months, max.

Sounds like a joke - don't disagree with much of it bar the dress code.

If it's not your thing don't go - no need to slate it cos you don't like it.

As for the dress code, I suppose Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton would have no problem then ?

Speaking as a member of the riff-raff community I deplore this sort of thing.

Ive not been in yet - a friend of mine has tho and liked it - but its part of an expanding chain so they must be doing something right.

Couldn't Disagree more with the opening post, I went in Friday night at about 10 with my wife, her sister and the brother in law and we had a great few hours in there.

I thought the décor was done great especially with the illuminated long tables, the music and style is obviously towards the indie rock anthems that I grew up with in the 90's and 00's, I also like to think there is a little nod to Sheffields history of music and clubs especially the Kasbar.

Yes the drinks are a little more expensive but nothing drastic and the waitress service is a great touch

This in my opinion is a great addition to the Sheffield night life scene and something music wise that has been missing from Sheffield since the closure of the Kasbar
