Cost of new website and ongoing support

So far I have had no restrictions on what I can put on it or how much.

A lot of free providers do restrict you. For example you can't take your domain name to a different host. You may be given, even if you don't realise it, restricted options.

If your business grew and you need to add on something different for example an online store then you might find you either can't do it or are limited in some way.

It really depends on how your business grows. You may never need anything more than what the free supplier offers. But like most things in life that are free there is often a catch.

These free suppliers make their money by offering to add on features but at a cost. It would normally work out cheaper if you paid for your site outright. But of course lots of people don't know that so end up paying way over the odds.

Mine is just for a small group that I am in,so it suits our purpose fine.
