Anna B Â Â 1,414 #4 Posted March 2, 2015 Why doesn't he stand for parliament? Â Because it takes more than the passion of one man to bring about a sea-change in politics. And anyway, what party would put him forward onto their shortlist of preferred candidates when he has opinions so opposite to theirs? Â Even in the unlikely event of him getting elected as an independent, what could he do, as one vote against the might of the other parties and party whips. What committies would he be asked to sit on? I doubt he would even be allowed to speak in the house after his maiden speech. Â He would be a complete outsider, and all but powerless. Â He would simply be peretpetuating and encouraging a rotten and debauched system by becoming a part of it.
 Share this content via...

It seriously winds me up how people think anyone who is outspoken should walk the walk. Can't anyone have passion or an opinion without being told that they should run for office?
