Tofty   10 #3 Posted March 15, 2017 Saw Jim play on many occasions and he was always a good reliable player. Pity that the person in the team photo named as Jim is his brother Tom. A very poor showing by the official club site.  RIP Jim McAnearney.
 Share this content via...
Jim Hardie   527 #4 Posted March 16, 2017 Saw Jim play on many occasions and he was always a good reliable player. Pity that the person in the team photo named as Jim is his brother Tom. A very poor showing by the official club site.  RIP Jim McAnearney.  I only remember Jim as a reserve before he came back as a coach. RIP  Not surprised at the **** up on the club site. Was it last season when Derek Wilkinson was introduced to the crowd at half time as Derek Robinson? It's on YouTube.
 Share this content via...
Southey owl   10 #5 Posted March 16, 2017 R.I.P Jimmy McAnearney.  A very talented 'inside forward 'as was known in the mid / late 1950's. Would have had many more Owls appearances but for the stiff, quality, competition he had to compete against from the England quartet of Jackie Sewell - - - Albert Quixall - - - Redfern Froggatt - - - Johnny Fantham. Been a pleasure to have witnessed his skills alongside his older brother Tommy.
 Share this content via...
