Comp to TV sound

Have connected a comp to a TV for Sat football : can I get the TV sound ? what to connect or will I have to use the comp speakers ?

If it's via HDMI, you can get sound - if it's via DVI (white) or VGA (blue) then they don't carry audio, and you will need to either use the computer speakers or get a cable to connect to your TV, depending on the input (some have red/white phono, some use 3.5mm jack input) - check the make/model of your TV and we can find out if you're unsure...

Sony LCD TV with multiple phono inputs and HDMI . No phonos on either of the comps . Hoping the HDMI will be ok : it is next to the VGA input . Will try now .

Problem is no HDMI on comps and no USB on TV . !?

Just plugging in via HDMI before opening any apps on your computer should do it... Otherwise, you need to use a 3.5mm jack from laptop, to phono on TV...
