Living in Stocksbridge.

We are thinking of moving to Stocksbridge, can anyone tell us what it is like in terms of living there and amenities? Thank you.

Well they built a new retail park there this year, and it gets the link bus to the supertram at Middlewood.

As mentioned we have a very nice retail park (Fox Valley) with a good selection of shops and restaurants, we are also top of the suggestion polls for the next Supertram extension (whether or not that will actually happen though), if you drive it's fine, if you rely on busses I wouldn't even contemplate it.

There is great community spirit, we still have a fair few pubs (some serve food). And recently the leisure center re-opened. We're also either the start or finish of the Tour de Yorkshire next year.

As it stands it's a very up and coming place, buy before the prices rise
