What is batemoor like?

So I'm looking at a house in Batemoor to rent and I don't know very much about the area

Although the property is on bowshaw avenue and on the crime map it doesn't look very good at all!

This is one of the three sink estates on the south west of the city, the other two being Jordanthorpe and Lowedges. Riddled with drug problems and after dark problems. There are nicer areas which you should consider before deciding on settling in these areas.

Wincobank is my other realistic option....

I've lived on all three of those estates at different points. It does totally depend on which bit you're in as to what it's like - my parents are on batemoor at the moment - where they are is fine. Bowshaw avenue isn't great tbh. View is better (I'd walk through bowshaw view, but not the avenue on a dark night on my own).

there's a couple more properties up at the moment on there - might be worth looking at? whinacre walk /batemoor walk are probably the best bits - basically off the main road tend to be better!

I lived on Whinacre Walk and it's a nice road to live on.
